Pieces of a man

It's hard to explain how much the music and lyrics of Gil Scott-Heron have inspired me, but here's a small tribute I just put together after I heard about his recent death.

You will not be able to stay home, brother
You will not be able to plug in, turn on and drop out
You will not be able to lose yourself on skag and skip
Skip out for beer during commercials
Because the revolution will not be televised.

Sun is shining!

Even if it was dropped some time ago, Max Tannone's mixtape MosDub is still worth mentioning. It's no less than a bomb! Trust us!

Almost (but only almost) as good as J Period's tribute to Q-tip (Really!) but musically maybe closer to the stuff that J-Star has been releasing for a while now (that "Passin' me by" version is still a huge favourite).
